Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Definitely a night owl.
Describe your coming out experience.
My mom said through her mascara-smearing tears: “You always did like to stare at yourself in the mirror when you were little and would brush your hair a lot. Was it because I let you wear my heels that one time?” I was lucky to have a supportive family and friends. At that time, I was in my early ’20s and had been with my then-boyfriend for three years; they knew and loved him, and so things went well for me. Everyone knowing was the biggest relief I’d ever experienced—I felt I didn’t have to hide anything and was able to move forward.
Who’s your favorite band or musical act?
Well, if I don’t say Madonna and Mariah, the gay police will take my gay card away! They really are my favorites: I love you, bitchez!
Boxers, briefs, or neither?
2Xist briefs or boxers: depends on how warm it is on a particular day.
What’s your nickname?
Muzo.
Will you ever marry?
I’m in a twelve-year relationship with my dachshund, Hollywood, does that count?
If you could go back and visit another year, which year would it be?
The year I was born because I don’t remember anything about it, of course.
What’s your favorite form of entertainment?
I know this sounds like a shameless promo - and it is - but I love club music! I created Muzophile (www.muzophile.com), my club radio music station on Live365, and I work with over 50 DJs. The station runs 24/7, and I can’t get enough of it, okay?
Do you believe traditional monogamy can work for a gay couple?
Absolutely! Love is love; commitment is commitment. Now, here in California, marriage is finally an option so that we gays have a chance to take monogamous relationships seriously.
What’s your favorite drink?
Whiskey/diet Coke.
What do you like best about your city?
I’m in love with Los Angeles because it’s home.
What’s something you shop for online?
Muzophile T-shirts, teddy bears, and thongs.
Describe your bedroom.
My friends call it “The Cave.” Recently, I heard, “It’s moody,” because it’s dark. Low lighting is your friend, preferably orange tones.
Biggest challenge facing gay men today.
Payless runnin’ outta plastic pumps for the After Party.
The one thing you want to do before you die.
I wake up every day wondering if that day could be my last. So I ask myself what I want to do, and I do it.
What is your best quality?
My ass…..Oh! I put people at ease because I know how to be a friend: I’m not at all narcissistic; I would never sit there and talk about myself, going on and on about ME, like in some Q&A for a hot magazine!
Where’s the most dangerous place you’ve had sex?
Well, I’m sort of a nerd who plays it safe, but that rest stop in the desert off the 15 on the way to Vegas was pretty hot…
What’s your most sexy body part we can’t see in your photo?
My lower body rocks…we’ll leave it at that.
Describe “good in bed.”
When you feel like saying, “That’s the best sex I’ve ever had!” And ya really mean it.
