San Francisco has so many great restaurants. Delfina is one of my favorite’s for their grilled calamari salad over white beans.

G: What are you most proud of in the Gay community?
BQ: I stood outside City Hall in the rain watching happy gay and lesbian couples pour out the doors in joy after being married last year. I clapped and was so honored to be a part of something that felt so honest and just.

G: What do you think it means to be Gay and Proud?
BQ: To embrace how you truly feel and be open about who you are

G: What do you like best about living in your city?
BQ: San Francisco is absolutely beautiful. After all, it is the city by the bay that lends itself to so many magical vistas and views at every turn. There is an incredible amount of nature and wonderfully open minded people to inspire all.

G: What’s your favorite vacation spot?
BQ: I really enjoy the warm sunny beach destinations. Being by the ocean is therapeutic in many ways.

G: Biggest challenge facing gay men today?
BQ: Being yourself!

G: Why do you love your work?
BQ: Design is a passion. It is wonderful to have a gift that has such an impact on people’s everyday lives in the many ways you shape and create space.

G: What type of guys do you tend to date?
BQ: I don’t date much, but he would have to be sincere, into his health and happy with his path in life.

G: Celeb you’d like to split a six-pack with?
BQ: Judy Garland would be a blast.
